NEW KENYAN ARTISTE VALENTINE KAMAU RELEASES FIRST SONG


Valentine Kamau premiered her first single Naenda this weekend. The video was shot by Jitu Films the same film company that made the horror movie Otto The Blood Bath, that was banned.
Valentine is also an actress and has appeared in the horror film as well as a number of movies like Selfish, Mob Doc and Formula X.
Naenda was produced by Methu Muthoni, the video shot by Boniface Loppoh and John Arigi and edited by Angie Karomo.

RNB STAR LLOYD FOR NIGERIA



American Rnb singer Lloyd will be giving an exclusive performance in Nigeria during the children’s day celebration.
The highlight for the day is a musical lisenced by Disney’s High School Musical- Kidztrust.
The event that will go down at the Eko Hotel Exhibition hall on May 27, 2010 will not only stage young teen actors but also some of the top Nigerian stars.
Plans are in top gear as the organizers have disclosed that “Top celebrities from all over the world will be in Nigeria’ for the most talked about stage production
The organizers are looking at getting some of the casts from the original Disney’s High School Musical to come watch Nigerians act their roles.
“We are working on that, but for now, it is confirmed that RNB singer Lloyd will perform at the premiere” BlackHouse Media publicists of Disney’s HSM in Nigeria disclosed.
“Young Lloyd is looking forward to coming to Nigeria for the first time. The R&B singer will be performing for those lucky to buy their tickets on time, after which an exclusive concert will follow”

REDRAWING KENYA: SHUN VIOLENCE

Usually, editorial cartoonist pass on their message using their illustrious work on the newspaper. This time round they joined forces and short a clip titled Redrawing Kenya, and the Guidelines, Ethnicity and Search for a Kenyan Identity.

Some of the cartoonist featured include The Stars’ Victor Ndula, Nation’s Gado, Eric Ngammau, aka Gammz, Michael Munene, Ozone, Mateso and Frank Odoi.

Vic says that it took almost two three takes for most of the cartoonist to get their illustrations done and completed. But watching the video you can’t tell. Here, have a look see…

THIS MAU MAU MOVIE…

Now that the trailer is out, here is a small synopsis on what the movie is all about.
Muigwithani retraces the steps of the Mau Mau freedom fighters struggle and their collaborative interaction with the Indian dukawallahs.
The feature film is the debut production of Wide Angle Visions, a local film production company and will feature Kenyan actors Tony Njuguna and Mehul Savani alongside Bollywood film star of American descent Tom Alter.
The film is set on the original Mau Mau strategic locations in Kabete on the outskirts of Nairobi.
Inline with the production schedule, Muigwithania will be ready for release ahead of Madaraka day festivities and will provide a platform for local corporate to channel their support for the production effort through a number of opportunities including product placements.
With a masala twist, Muigwithania, is set to make history as the first feature film about Asian migrants to Kenya and their social interaction frameworks that inevitably fuelled and sustained the freedom struggle.
