BIG BROTHER UK CELEBS TO CLIMB MT KILIMANJARO
Anthony HuttonUK Big Brother stars will climb Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in African.
Former BB housemates Liam McGough and Anthony Hutton, both from County Durham, journeyed to Kenya last year as part of an amazing adventure which saw them help to build a school, teach children how to play football, DJ in Nairobi and join a Maasai village.
The pair spent a week in Kenya for Newcastle-based MAD – Make a Difference Foundation – and since returning from the trip they have both become patrons of the charity.
And in June they’ll travell to Tanzania with fellow BB friends Zach “Ziggy” Lichman and twins Sam and Amanda Marchant, to help local communities and climb the 16,896ft of Tanzanian mountain Kilimanjaro.
The whole trip, due to take place over a week from June 18, is being organised by MAD founder John Lawler, of Corbridge, Northumberland, who runs the foundation alongside Madventure, his company which offers students gap year-style trips across Africa.
John said: “The trip is in the early stages but everyone is dead keen to take part.
“It’s certainly not going to be a “celebrity jolly” either because they’ll all have to raise £2,200 before we go and the climb will be tough. I’ve climbed Mount Kenya but not Kilimanjaro, so it will be a personal first for me too.
“However our mad Tanzanian guide, Jonas, has climbed it more than 250 times and refers to the mountain as his office!”
Anthony and Liam were due to be joined by their good pal Zach Lichman on last July’s trip.
But he was turned away by airline staff at Heathrow Airport because they he looked too ill to board.
John said: “In his words, Zach was ‘gutted’ he couldn’t go last year.
“He was due to get a plane from Heathrow but he had flu and staff at the boarding gate wouldn’t let him on because he was sweating so much. He came so close to joining us but he just missed out.
“A model called Rhian Sugden is also joining us, so in all we’ve got a lively bunch of people who are all keen to take part.”

ANTI-JIGGER CAMPAIGNER TO TAKE OVER YOUTH FUND OFFICE?

The street is riff with reports that the Anti Jigger Campaigner Stanley Kamau is in ‘deep talks’ with the relevant officials on taking up office as the chairman of the controversy laden Youth Enterprise Development Fund.
Stanley who also works with former miss World Kenya Cecilia Mwangi and Kiss 100’s Jalango was cagey about the details.
“I wouldn’t mind heading the Youth Fund as long as it doesn’t affect my anti Jigger campaign,” The Ahadi Trust CEO said.
Asked if the jigger ambassadors will also get offices in the Youth Fund, Stanley said, “No, this is a very separate entity all together.”
This reports come at a time when the Youth Fund Board resigned en mass after an eight-month battle against Youth and Sports minister Hellen Sambili.
ANGELINA JOLIE’S DONATION TO ADOPT ZAHARA USED TO KILL ETHIOPIANS?

A commentary on Online Journal is alleging that the money movie star Angelina Jolie paid for the adoption of Ethiopian baby girl Zarah, ended up in the hands of the Government of Ethiopia which they online site terms “the national crime syndicate”.
“When you buy . . . adopt, a baby in Ethiopia there is a good chance that the baby isn’t an orphan, though it is usually standard language in all the sale/adoption papers that such is the case. With millions of Ethiopians famine stricken, selling babies has become a way to survive for some. Though of the Sh2.25million as little as $1,000 makes it through the hands of the Ethiopian mafia to the babies families.
If one has been reading the pages of this and other websites willing to publish what is really going on in Ethiopia, you will know that Ethiopia is committing genocide against the ethnic Somalis in the Ethiopian Ogaden. So why should selling babies come as a shock?” It reads.
